The hotel's prime location is a highlight, with numerous dining options nearby and easy access to local attractions via the TECO Line Streetcar just a five-minute walk away. The comfortable king room with a city view offered a cozy night's sleep that enhanced my stay. However, high valet costs and an abundance of taxes detracted from the overall value. While I found the staff accommodating, the building itself felt somewhat dated, taking away from the modern experience one might expect.

Great location with comfortable rooms
I recently spent 3 nights in a King Room with City View and was pleasantly surprised by the prime location, which allowed easy access to nearby attractions and dining. The room was comfortable and provided a great night's sleep. The staff was very accommodating, making for a positive experience overall. However, some areas, particularly the bathrooms, could use updates to match the rest of the hotel's charm.

I stayed for a short getaway and really enjoyed the prime location that allowed me to easily explore nearby restaurants and attractions. The king room I had offered a calming view of the pool, and I found the bed to be incredibly comfortable, leading to restful nights. However, the room service was notably slow to arrive, which was a bit disruptive during my stay.

Those Mediterranean dishes at 211 were a mixed bag. the omelette game was strong, thanks to the charming chef! Plus, that comfy bed really set the tone for restful nights.
But, the bar closing at 11 p.m. was a bummer, and don't even get me started on the pricey Skittles in the vending machine. Still, the ambiance kept things lively.

Room for Improvement but Great Staff
The staff handled our room changes with grace and understanding, making a frustrating situation better. The modern lobby with a Starbucks was a highlight but the room cleanliness left much to be desired. Future guests should inspect their rooms thoroughly upon arrival.

I recently stayed at the Hilton in Tampa for two nights and had mixed feelings about my experience. The check-in process set a nice tone with a complimentary welcome drink, which was a pleasant surprise. The lobby impressively detailed comfortable seating and a Starbucks, making for a great casual vibe. The room was spacious and the beds were really comfortable, allowing for some restful nights. However, I faced some frustrating service issues. I needed room service one morning, but it took way too long to arrive. Also, I felt the bar's closing time at 11 p.m. was way too early, especially when looking for a nightcap. An unexpected parking fee of $53 for valet seemed high since my pickup truck took the same space as a midsize car. On top of that, the lack of clear communication regarding amenities was irritating. I found it odd that there was no free water available in the room, unless I had an abundance of Hilton points. While the location was convenient for all my plans, some maintenance on facilities would go a long way in elevating the experience. The swimming pool also needed some attention upon arrival, but I saw that staff did clean it after some complaints. In summary, while some aspects of the stay were enjoyable, improvements in service and maintenance would significantly enhance the experience at this Hilton.
